AHS Zoo School

The AHS Zoo School is located at the North Carolina Zoological Park in Asheboro, NC. We are a science-themed, cross-curricular focused small learning community that actively engages students in real life experiences in our 1,500 acre campus. Students have the opportunity to work with NC Zoo staff and apply their scientific investigation skills to solve problems.

Our student population is comprised of ninety tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students. Students enrolled in our program come from a varied socio-economic levels and ethnic backgrounds.

This is our first year of the program and implementation has gone great.
