Weight Training

Designed for the student who is interested in building body strength, stamina and physical endurance. It involves running, agility drills, calisthenics and weightlifting.

Advanced PE

Incorporating physical fitness activities and recreational sports to promote a healthy lifestyle.  Emphasis will be on personal fitness.

Weight Training Syllabus

Purpose: To promote individual fitness, develop sportsmanship and gain knowledge concerning physical fitness.

Dress: Athletic shoes, shorts or sweatpants and T-shirts adhering to dress code.

Activities: Strengthy Training, Plyometrics, P90X Fitness Workouts, Cardiovascular/Endurance

Tests:  Max Lift, Pacer Test, Mile Run

Grading: Participation 80%, Tests 20%

Daily Routine:
1. Roll call in gym area.
2. Dress out.
3. Stretching/Agilities
4. Running/Conditioning
5. Weight Training
6. Cool Down and dress out.

Rules:
1. No cell phones or electronics.
2. No food or drink.
3. No horseplay.
4. Keep locker rooms clean.
5. Lock valuables in lockers.
